I went through something similar just over a year ago...but it was a touch more dramatic. I was fired because the talking heads decided folks could put two and two together and figure out where I worked. Nobody bothered with a review and giving me a chance to fix it - just got the boot. I fought with the same "kill the blog or don't kill the blog" arguments, got lots of advice to "just let it die..." but I couldn't. I became more careful, I got a different job... but I decided not to let the bastards silence me. Hats off to you! Happy blogiversary indeed. I've never stated where I've worked but I'm certain for those who pay attention, it wouldn't be hard to put two and two together. Your job profile would make things a bit easier to figure out. I understand your employer's concern. Having read a recent article about my employer that was not flattering, I was tempted to speak to how I feel about that. I wisely chose to ignore what I'd read. Never bite the hand that feeds you. I try to write about work but with privacy laws, sometimes it's hard. I'm certainly glad you're able to continue writing as your words are usually eloquent and your stories pertinent. I think you also promote your profession quite well. Happy Blogiversary.
