Em I was going to go to that conferance as well but work crap got in the way. I’m P.O.’d now that you will be there and I wont. The only thing I can say about the crash is a quote from Michel Durant. ” We cann’t feel bad for our friends who die doing what they love. Feel sad for there death but know its how they wanted to go, doing what they loved.”

It’s never good to see or hear about an HEMS crash. Unfortunately they will always happen despite our best efforts to avoid them. Mechanical failure, pilot error – unintentional, weather, you name it. Few things in our world our absolute.

The best we can hope for is that our pilots and co-pilots are really paying attention – like they do. That our mechanics who work on the aircraft are diligent, and mother nature gives the crew a break more often than not.

What you folks do is in HEMS is dangerous, but we depend on you to be there when things have gone terribly wrong. Without your skills and aircraft many more lives would otherwise be lost.
