So far, we have gotten hella lucky. Shoulda guessed it wouldn’t hold out. Yesterday the weather was perfect for checking out Mackinac Island, something I haven’t done since I was about 5. Strange to remember things from being that young and then seeing them as an adult.
So, as we wait out the rain, I am drinking bad coffee using WiFi at in the hotel lobby where scavengers with their loud, vacationing families (read: lotsa kiddos) are scarfing the included breakfast “buffet” and bitching because there is no meat, or vanilla creamer for the coffee.
That was a long sentence.
For those of you not familiar with the Mackinac Bridge, check that out. It is actually an engineering marvel. I just hope we don’t blow off the damn thing!
