Teaching Joey to bake has been one of the most incredible things I
have done lately. I realized not long ago that my nieces and nephews
are old enough to be influenced by what we do for the rest of their
lives.

Joey will forever throw a towel over his shoulder when he cooks. He
may not quite remember why he does it, but that he just should. I am
still amazed at the amount of things he remembers but more
importantly, what he learns.

Kids are simply amazing.

  1. That is the way I feel about doing yard work with my daughter. We got a bunch of snow the other day and I was walking oput the door to shovel when she came bounding down the stairs yelling “I want to help!” We had such a great time.

By the way, the towel on the shoulder, that’s kind of a guy thing. I do it as well. I think it comes from my days bartending, I always had a towel over my shoulder to wipe my hands on.
