Sometimes I come across something that just surprises me when I am wading through the Internet. Although this isn’t wicked exciting, I thought I would share it.

In an interview on CNN.com, James Blunt was discussing his most recent album (which is good btw). Here is the last question and his answer:

Q: You had a quick rise to fame. What are your reflections on the past few years?

BLUNT: It depends how you define success. Fame is not a measure of success nor is money. Fame is a human construct[ion] and an addiction of ours which is not relevant. If you talk about celebrity we should focus on people who do important jobs like doctors and NURSES, a whole host of other jobs out there that we could celebrate just as much as actors and musicians. They are all just a relevant and just as important. [emphasis mine]

Sylvia

Sylvia,

I had a friend who gave some of his possessions names. For example his
bike had a name as did his car and his plant. I asked him about this
strange habit. He told me that he always gave a name to things that
could kill him or that could die by his hand.

I would like to introduce you to Sylvia. My new car.

This was taken at BW3s a few days ago. I think it is a simple photo
but shows who I am as my simplistic self.

The past few months have dragged me and my heart through the muck. Difficult patient flights and other drama has worn me out.

Writing has been the last thing on my mind.

It is difficult to realize that sometimes it is necessary to let time do what it can do and let go of the rest. Yesterday I did that.

I forced myself away from it all and did something therapeutic. I quite literally tore apart my office.

Destruction is therapeutic.

Halas. What will happen will happen.
