Pain Memory

Oh how time allows us to forget the pain related to our experiences and therefore recall only the good memories. It tricks us into repeating that which has made us suffer.

Tattoos—we know they hurt, but the desire for more ink allows us to forget.
Childbirth—the desire to have another child mutes the misery that often accompanies pregnancy.
New blog software—the need to have the latest and greatest release excites us into starting down the slippery slope of installing, reinstalling…learning and relearning programs, code, files and ftp.

I now remember the agony related to reaching beyond my comfortable nerdy-ness. The WordPress installation is complete. The blog has been successfully imported, but the design process…well…that is another story.

I may need some anticoagulant therapy before this is over.

  1. Looks good over here! So you did a good job moving. But God bless ya for doing it, I know how much trouble it had to have been.
